சென்னை தமிழ்ச்சொல்லா?

This article says மேடு , Medu rasa pattinam become madras. Chennai is purely telugu. But it's purely FAKE story.

சென்னை comes from Chennappa Nayakkan only, who was the last vassal of Vijayanagar kingdom in 1650s..
But just bcoz he was telugu native, doesnt mean the word is Telugu:)
சால= இன்னிக்கு தெலுங்குன்னா.. சால உறு தவ நனி கூர் கழி உரிச்சொல்லெல்லாம் தெலுங்குச் சொல் ஆயீருமா?:) என்ன பேதைமை இது!

செம்து+இல்= சென்து+இல்= செந்தில்

அது தான் சென்+அப்பன்= சென்னப்பன்!

சென்னப்ப நாயக்கன் தெலுங்குக்காரன் என்பதால்..
சென்னப்பனில் உள்ள அப்பன்= தெலுங்கா?:)

*சென்னப்ப நாயக்கன் பட்டினம்= சென்னைப் பட்டினம்
*மதுரசேனன் பட்டினம்= மதுராச பட்டினம்.

NEET and way forward

I have been reading up a lot in the news , discussions, impact to our rural and poor students If NEET becomes mandatory for under graduate Medical and Engineering courses.

Let's look into few data available

1. There are 3% Govt school students joining Govt medical colleges & 

2. only 30% are from rural/sub urban background.

3. Engineering also could be little more numbers for rural/sub urban 30+%. 

Let's look up a better solution to find out for everyone of us with better results from current scenario.

NEET is a new all india entrance test which will be based on CBSE/ICSE.

So the list of hurdles before kept us

1. New and complex syllabus which is different form current State board.

2. Training or monetary support required for rural students

3 options/way forward 

Option 1 - Improve state syllabus and hold NEET for sometime until we are capable

Improve the current syllabus and train the students to cater to all india level syllabus with long term road map. It might take 5-10 years which is less probable with the current political scenario, or willingness to take up the challenges.

so this option is less road travelled and not feasible now to take NEET even after 5 years delay.

Option 2 - Accept the NEET with special provisions

Adapt a geographic reservation to ensure rural/sub urban students still get their seats via % representation(allocate% to rural, suburban, urban based on the % students). This might need lot of analysis and willingness from state to form fair policy. But we do not have to fear of losing seats also we can still plan road map to improve educational factors projected by UN with less impact to students.

I find this option feasible as we have earlier have 69% implementation and can tweak for geographic representation.

Option 3 - Reject NEET and continue current system of admission

This is going to be challenged by Union in sometime as current legislation to exclude TN might get rejected and might not stand in SC. Also we need to also consider UN educational factor to improve our standards inline.

If this option is implemented, still we need to improve our skill sets and quality inlne with international standard outlined.

Tum saath ho lyrics in Tamil

Tum saath ho ( you are with me ) , a song from yet to be released hindi movie Tamasha.

This song was an immediate inspiration when I heard first time last week , and video of the song had more impact for me to complete.  Imtiaz is fantastic when composing visuals for a musical piece. 

I don't even know 1 % of Hindi and these are somewhat fresh i can say ;)
